Communication is the exchange of information of any kind it may be video, text, audio, etc, through any medium between some points. Here are some Future Communication Technology Predictions. Today communication technology is evolving at a high speed but we are still at VR (Virtual Reality) and the upcoming communication technology is AR (Augmented Reality) but in this article, we are going to cover the next level of communication possible beyond AR & VR communication.

Well if you don’t know what is AR/VR technology so let me introduce it first because I am going to discuss much more advance communication technology then this. VR (Virtual Reality) as a name suggest its technology that suggests us virtually objects as real like you must knowing Virtual Reality based video games, in this object action or view is superimposed in computer out of the physical world while AR(Augmented Reality) is the technology that superimposes the graphics/images generated from computer to user views .

In today’s communication, we mainly use two forms one is simply audio which is a phone call/conferencing communication and the other is video calling/conferencing but in Future Communication Technology Predictions have a lot more. You may already have heard about the Future of communication technology such as AR(Augmented Reality) and VR(Virtual Reality). In this article, I am going to discuss technology about maybe 40 years ahead from now.

Future Communication Technology Idea

We know 3 foms of communication basically text, audio and video but we can have following attributes in communication that are

1. text
2. speech
3. video
4. taste
5. feel
6. smell
7. emotions express
8.  etc.

all real-world things that we make use in communication, well other attributes are not that important as far as only communication is a concern but if we want the next level of experience in communication then we can think of all these attributes as well. Just suppose you have video called to your friends and she is making something delicious and she telling how it is smelling and taste but you can’t get it rather you may like to smell and taste it in real, you can see and hear her but other attributes are missing. So why there should not be all possible things that we can do in real communication.

Well, you may sound me weird about taste, feel smell, etc attributes of communication but friends it may be possible in future I am discussing here some mains points on how it will be.
I am discussing some attributes and how they may be achieved

Smell:    There may be something like we have a printer for printing papers. It can have no. of odor/smell filled in cylinder fill which will be used by that smell release device. There will be sent/receive signal receptors at both ends, it will detect smell and release that smell if it is found in its library. There will be some pleasant smell that you can send to others according to your mood same as we do for emojis in text messaging apps.

Feel: There can be robots at both ends that are well programmed and are less with all sensors and receptors. Suppose you are communicating with someone else then your clone robot will be near that person and that person clone will be with you so if you make any kind of movement then your clone robot will also do the same movement there too. While communication with others if you want to hold another person’s hands you can simply hold a robot that is near you and the robot at the other end will hold the person’s hand there. These are hypothetical so don’t assume it will be done exactly as stated it may be done in any way we don’t know.

Emotions: Robots are evolving at emotions hope they will be much closer to us. In future communication, if you are using this technology then a robot near you will make the emotion of the other person to which you are communication, the robot at that end will detect their emotion and send it to a robot near you and vice versa with the robot present near you.

Metaverse

Meta (Facebook) is already started working on this where they expects 3D models of everything in virtual space and we can feel them much like its real. You can learn more about it here.

Neuralink

Neuralink is Elon Musk’s company and its working in brain engineering. They aim many things that could be possible through brain signals such as we can control car and give commands through brain only. They are still at very initial stage in progress but hope in future we can see something crazy with brain communication and signaling. To can learn more about neuralink.

Future Communication technology can be too costly and it includes virtual and physical both. It includes audio, video system with robots, smell release devices, etc.
After this, we may also expect computer brain communication technology through which transactions of thoughts in mind can be directly shared from person brains to another person with the help of future computer brain technology.
