Delhi Government School Admission Schedule for classes 6, 7, 8 and 9
The admission process commenced in the month of May, and June, and the last procedure will be held in July. The schedule for the admission process is mentioned below:

Age criteria for Admission in Delhi Government Schools for classes 6, 7, 8 and 9
Before applying for admission to the govt. schools parents or guardians alongside the students who seek to take admission in any of the classes are asked to follow the eligibility age criteria provided by the Delhi Government through the Delhi Education Department portal mentioned below :

- Passport size photo of the student.
- Aadhar Cards of the child, father, and mother.
- A voter ID card of any parent should be attached.
- An authorized birth certificate of the child has to be attached as well.
- The report card of the previously passed class should be submitted.
- Residential proof: Ration card.

- Go to the official portal of the Delhi Education Department at www.edudel.nic.in.
- Once the page is opened on the home page, click on the Government Schools Admission.
- Select the link online registration form.
- Once the link is clicked the application form will show up.
- Enter the details in the registration form and click on Next.
- Fill out the online form properly and completely.
- You can fill out the online form through your smartphone, desktop, PC, or laptop.
- Once the filling of the form is completed take a printout of the form.
An important note:
No school can collect a capitation fee or donation from the parents at the time of admissions, as per the high court order. The school can even hold on to the registration fee and one-month tuition fee in case of the withdrawal of the application. Refunds with the right receipts will be provided within 15 days of any charges. No additional fees are asked to submit instead of only the monthly fees by the parents or guardians.

Documents required for admission to class 11 in Delhi Government School
- Passport size photo of the student.
- School leaving certificate.
- Marksheet.
- Caste certificate(if applicable).

- Domicile certificate of the student or parents.

Students who are residents of Delhi can only opt for this admission. For taking admission in classes 10 and 12, students must need to pass and complete their education in classes 9 and 11 from a recognized school. Students who are affected by certain complications or circumstances like their parent’s job transfer, distance, or who were in private schools earlier till the last standard are solemnly allowed to opt for admission.
A fixed syllabus is provided and a common test is organized for the students who seek admission. The results get declared right after two consecutive days.

Admission process for classes 10 and 12
For students who seek to take admission in the respective classes, application forms are being provided for the ‘non-plan’ admissions to classes 10th and 12th in the Delhi Government Schools for the new academic session.
- To take admission in class 10, students should have passed the previous class from a recognized school with desired subjects.
- To take admission in a particular stream, students should secure the aggregate marks required in class X for a particular stream.
